What if we did tho, what if we didn’t means test disabled people on the SLP and just paid it like we do for NZ Super? Not related to your partner’s income, not related to your income, and just, well, supported people?!

What if we paid the Supported Living Payment like we pay the pension?

If you'd asked me which celebrity would posthumously unveil a list of people she wanted fired into the sun, I would not have guessed Jane Goodall
Dr. Jane Goodall filmed an interview with Netflix in March 2025 that she understood would only be released after her death.

"No Farmers, No Food" they love to wail, demanding we bail them out and cut the tax on their utes, and yet 27% of our kids are going hungry.
This country is a failed state when it comes to self-sufficiency. It would rather sell its soul than feed its children.

Really great work from Ken. Just makes the whole thing even more depressing, tbh.
Unlikely he was Antifa or a Groyper. Just a young guy who was very online, had access to guns and fairly inexplicably decided to take drastic action against someone he felt was a bad person.

Cis people being weird about trans people makes me think about king crabs.
Bear with me for this one because it will make sense.
You know king crabs, right? Giant crab, lives up north, has long legs, very expensive and tasty, featured on many a mukbang
Did you know they are technically not crabs? 1/

Not only did the Royal Commission into #Covid19 find lockdowns "proved to be an effetive tool", it made no specific finding about whether Auckland's 2021 Delta lockdown went on too long. It said the Govt's decisions were based in protecting the vulnerable, but it could have considered other factors.
