The real question is not "Why is Bluesky so left-coded," the real question is "Why can't the right exist in a social media environment without algorithmic assistance, where people can ignore them"

Then it should be trivially easy to find reliable data to put in your magazine article!
Literally any human who has been even casually involved in education in the last decade knows multiple people who have gotten dubious diagnoses to get extra time on exams. I expect more from journalists, certainly, but let’s not pretend like this is a controversial issue.

Starbucks CEO Brian Niccol made $95 million last year. His workers are striking for the bare minimum. Glad to be on the right side of the picket line with them.

This shit is just planned out and orchestrated out in public. Her mother is a fucking conservative podcast host and lawyer, this isn't some kinda quirk or accident, this paper was written with the express purpose to gin up another culture war about trans people in academia and it's working.
a lot of people debating the merits of that dogshit essay meanwhile the girl’s mom is retweeting demands to ban all trans people from teaching at any level. it’s forest for the trees shit

This cross-pollination IS how new ideas happen. EVERY field needs humanistic thinking, that's why they call PhDs "Doctors of Philosophy"

It’s #WorldAIDSDay - Did you know sanitation and barriers are industry standard in tattooing because Cliff Raven, a gay tattooer from Chicago, made sure he could still provide service to his own community as most shops refused to tattoo homosexuals when the AIDS crisis emerged?

We're hosting an emergency fundraiser to help fund a kidney procedure, this account is ran by someone in the US and is currently uninsured and we need support. Currently we're $14.7k away from meeting our goal and avoiding medical debt, any bit helps

I just want to remind people that Louis CK masturbated in front of multiple colleagues over the course of many years many of whom because of it chose to leave the profession.
When a cancelled performer reënters the culture, we expect them to offer us a great work, channelling their newfound clarity into the finest art they’ve ever made. With his new comedy show and début novel, has Louis C.K. met the bar?

Louis C.K.’s Next Chapter
In a new standup special, and a début novel, the comedian navigates murky, post-#MeToo terrain: not quite exiled, not quite welcomed back.

The death of browsing is part of the reason art is the way it is now. Our opinions are largely fed to us by algorithms. Spending a spare 15 minutes wandering around a bookstore or comic shop or video rental place was how you found stuff you wouldn't ordinarily pick up and thereby expanded your taste
Bookselling is like the most "people go to the store and buy what looks cool to them without a particular agenda" type business left, and your purchases have a huge influence on what is ordered, what is displayed, and what is recommended.
