Regarding this school lunches shitshow: are the food containers and delivery boxes not labelled in any way by Compass with date of production, date of delivery, time of heating, etc. Seems like that would be quite important in terms of verifying proper handling and delivery of hot food. #nzpol

In a move truly shocking to every woman ever, a man took her idea and presented it as his own.

Doubtless this, legendarily, unaware man will tell us he was unaware of the woman's suggestion and ideas, and that he'd already been thinking the same thing for ages and ages.

Uber extracted $402m in revenue from NZ in 2024 but paid less than $1m in tax.

Unfair global tax rules allow corporations to profit at our expense.

Fair tax policies could help us tackle growing inequality, curb rising living costs, protect nature, and fund climate action.

Absolutely! The history is much more recent than most believe!

That documentary was eye-opening, in a depressing way... but we can't change what we won't ackonwledge.
Today, if you're shocked by Stanford's racist removal of Māori from school books, go and watch this documentary.

It's not ancient history, this is 1970's Pukekohe. Māori women having their heads stomped in for daring to try and shop at a whites only shop. Tvnz+

Good on Chloe swarbrick!
Chloe Swarbrick just thrown out of the House after refusing to apologise for calling on government MPs to get a spine and support a members bill imposing sanctions on israel's genocidal regime
Chloe Swarbrick is genuinely furious today, and on her day, she is the best speaker in our politics

National PArty / ACT $5 million boot camp result is worse than it looks. 1 died.

Of those left, 88% re-offended, and 45% are in jail.

This is what Luxon and Karen Chhour claim is a "success". Worse, Luxon was told this would entrench and harden crime. National just don't care.
