Megyn Kelly on alleged war crimes: "I really do kind of not only wanna see them killed in the water, whether they're on the boat or in the water, but I'd really like to see them suffer. I would like Trump and Hegseth to make it last a long time so they lose a limb and bleed out."

Congressional Dems and the Biden admin should have put more effort into passing post-Trump reforms. We need more aggressive reform than what was on offer then, but it could really have helped

I hope Democrats understand that if and when they get back to power, defaulting to “unity” politics and empty reconciliation without any real accountability would not only be morally abhorrent, but also politically suicidal: The desire for at least some semblance of justice will be overwhelming.

That's what it can look like when *adults* get shot by high-velocity long gun bullets --> those same bullets can make the bodies of schoolchildren burst into pieces. But Americans, especially its politicians, and esp. Republican politicians, have indicated they're fine with it.

That's what it looks like when any human being gets shot, though.

If it's okay with Republicans when the victims are 6-year-olds, not clear why that level of violence is haunting when it's a grown man.

It is actually strategic to stand up for your values. You don’t have to be strident about it. Do it with a smile like Mamdani, or with reasonable Dad vibes like Bashear or goofy coach energy like Walz or Gladiator energy like Crockett. But do it!

Pundits are focusing on Kirk’s willingness to debate people while studiously ignoring the people whose basic humanity he was willing to debate
The lionization of Charlie Kirk genuinely proves the point about centrists and leading media figures. The man dehumanized women, minorities, transgendered people, Muslims, etc was building bridges by debating others on these views that all these people are less than human. What a great guy.

"The news lost its way — it became extreme, elitist, and performative," the Ellison confidant said. "People like Colbert and others act like they're the IP, the value, when it’s the brand and journalism that matter. We need to get back to fundamentals. That's what David and his team believe."
