I mean, that's the clever exercise of soft power right there. "Fuck you lot and your windmills, we beat Hitler, now give me the big block of ice."

Very sad that I felt I had no choice but to resign from The Infinite Monkey Cage - a victory for the transphobes and other bigots - I did it because so much of the media has chosen to believe the kind and empathetic people are a fiction - they are real and so often unrepresented.

Shabana Mahmood said this month that her migration policies are a "moral mission".

Where is the morality in blocking an eight-year-old girl made destitute by a Hurricane from coming to the UK to join her parents?

On Today before 7 a former Trump official claimed without challenge that US spending on Ukraine far outweighs that of Europe (at least contestable) and that Europe was now irrelevant to the peace talks. 30 mins later Steve Rosenberg made clear that Europe’s irrelevance was a Kremlin talking point

I’m beyond proud of Peter Ettedgui speaking out about Farage and the vile antisemitic abuse he endured. I first heard Peter’s story nearly 20 years ago when Farage was a virtual nobody. It’s not a hit job. Just the truth

Gregg, as a working-class woman with a direct manner I strongly advise you to shut the fuck up.
Gregg Wallace issues a new statement: “This has been brutal. For a working-class man with a direct manner, modern broadcasting has become a dangerous place. I was the headline this time. But I won’t be the last.”

Another Trump tariff lie and a telling one: no tariffs on Russia and Belarus because the US has “no significant trade with them”.

In fact America’s trade balance with Russia is $3.5bn, more than other countries. Tariffs on Belarus should actually be 42% and 24% on Russia, according to Le Monde.

The thing that is so frustrating about this is that this exact argument — these very same words — could be used to criticise Kathleen Stock and support the people who oppose her. But they never are.
This, by Bridget Phillipson, is deeply disappointing. Drivel that sounds like the height of the Johnson culture wars years.
