As a reminder since Covid, the flu, RSV, and norovirus haven't disappeared, please check the wastewater charts like you would the weather.
Yes, you should mask everywhere, but if you won't, at least pay attention to when the risk if higher and act accordingly.

Annual reminder that if you see a menorah in someone’s window, that’s an act of defiance against bigotry and hate. It’s also pride and bravery.

It’s says “a Jew lives here” and that’s both painting a target but also reminding everyone that we still exist and we always will.

The older I get, the more my politics mature from childish, naïve beliefs like "the world is complicated and leaders have to make hard decisions" to more serious, adult principles like "hurting people is bad and helping people is good."

Just so I'm clear on this, computer memory has tripled in price because a bunch of it that hasn't been produced yet has been ordered to populate GPUs that aren't installed in data centers that aren't built yet in order to service a demand that doesn't exist to make profits that don't happen.

Uncontrolled Covid-19 continues to cause repeated infections, mass illness, and excess mortality in the US, but most US citizens are too deep into irrational denial to care.

Jesse Hamm had the take to end all takes on children's media. "People who disdain writing ‘just for children’ fail to realize that those children will remember what they read, maybe for the rest of their lives. You’re not writing for permanent children; you’re getting an early start on adults.”

i would again like to remind everyone that NEGATING A FRAME REINFORCES IT

"he's not really targeting criminals" makes it an argument about criminality

"this is a fascist attack" states what is actually happening

START WITH WHAT IT IS
not what it isn't

Reviews are great! Also, tell everyone you know about books you have enjoyed. People are more likely to buy a book vouched for by someone they know, so tell your friends and family and social media followers!
"I can't afford to support my favorite author right now, I—"

Reviews.

Reviews are free AND they are a gift to authors that can keep on giving (i.e., exposure, marketing, algo boosts, etc.)

Please, give the gift of reviews to your authors this holiday season. It really can make a difference!

Brutal but effective public health messaging from New York Public Health.

The CDC is compromised. They’re no longer a reliable source of information.

They push anti-vaxx & anti-science grift.

Get your vaccines. Wear a respirator. Clean the air

Get public health advice from experts, not RFK Jr

I want nothing more than my life back. I was a show producer. I was out 6/7 nights a week.

Please get help for your PTSD and stop taking it out on disabled people who don’t want to be any more sick than they already are.

Well done. Except—everybody now!—we‘re still in the Covid years. (There’s been a really big misunderstanding.)

I've said this before, but there are two kinds of people in the world.

- People who have suffered or been traumatized by something, and think it's unfair unless everyone else also suffers
- People who have suffered or been traumatized by something and don't want anyone else to experience that.
