not to bring the vibe down, but my guess is that after tonight Trump will probably double down on gerrymandering, voter suppression, and intimidation as tactics to disincentivize Dem turnout ahead of next year‘s midterms. (with margins like these, it won’t matter, but it’s a time to be vigilant)

I would not be a national conservative if it was serious, but I would take its adherents seriously. But actually existing national conservatism consists of series of excuses to treat your neighbors as subhuman.
The irony is that I'm very much willing to believe in social atomization and anomie being serious problems requiring visionary solutions.
