This #followfriday I’m just going to repost the Toronto Urbanism Starter pack.

It’s got more content since you last saw it!

If you lookup Ontario Science Centre on google maps it takes you to harbourfront centre, with 15k reviews for the old location and approximately zero for the new one. What's even in there?

All this talk of bilingualism.

TFO should make a sequel to Téléfrançais for adult learners.

Also worth noting there are a quarter of a billion french speakers out there, which is an economic opportunity for a country seeking to diversity its trading relationships.

wonder if Germans have some subject matter expertise in this or something
Europeans (except Germans) tend to think the continent can ride out Donald Trump, and that once he is no longer president US foreign policy towards Europe will return to how it was before

To my point of reading the information but not taking it too seriously, just under half of people said they followed the Toronto budget somewhat closely or more. I don't want to impugn the reputation of these fine poll respondents but that is more than the turnout of the last 3 mayoral elections.

I really don't know how to interpret the property tax question.

Only 33% of Toronto (11% of Etobicoke) can answer a factual question correctly about their taxes in 2024 and 2025?

Remember last week when Councillor Holyday was super-concerned about people visiting loved ones and addressing isolation by helping people get around the city? That was a fun 2 minutes. But it turns out that he just wanted more parking. I'm shocked. toronto.cityhallwatcher.com/p/one-counci...

I ran along Bloor last night and I am just kind of baffled what is happening right now. The city seems to just be choosing to drop it's bike ridership by something like 60-70% by just not plowing the bike lanes. I would be riding if they were clear.
Yesterday there were approximately 3,951 Toronto Bikeshare bikeshare trips
Most used station: King St W / Bay St (53 trips)
Least used station: Davenport Rd / Dovercourt Rd and 449 others (0 trips)
Active stations: 1009

Me: I have two from a department store that hasn't existed since 1991.

I found this archaeological relic underneath the Hudson’s Bay crests downtown.

I think it’s from the late 1900s.

What do you think it means?

Just witnessed a model shift ride in front of my eyes this morning.

Friend texted the gc that he took transit to work for the first time now that Line 5 opened.

Previously he would've had to take a bus-bus-subway trip or a bus-subway-bus trip. Now he can get to work faster than driving.
