What perfect album came out the year you turned 16?
Pretty close. I still have a huge soft spot for it. Although I actually didn't listen to it till 3-4 years later. 🤷 (I'm not an early adopter; I ignored Nirvana when they existed too. I've never been cool lol)

Was the sighting down to out of place migrating herons? Or cranes?

Good list! "Every scene has to do multiple things" is something I've been trying to accomplish in editing. (Even a scene where the MCs just make bread. Advancing character dynamics etc.)

—pacing matters more than many think
—theme does actually matter for the coherence of the book
—sequentiality is harder to execute than it looks; lots of books can end up being “and then, and then”

Good list! "Every scene has to do multiple things" is something I've been trying to accomplish in editing. (Even a scene where the MCs just make bread. Advancing character dynamics etc.)
