My answer most dear to my heart is Champions/HERO System. I still love that enormous toolset of a game, it’s so mechanically dense but lets you model pretty much anything you want.
As much as I love the availability of beginner friendly games, I wanna hear your favorite games that are not for beginners. Either for their mechanical complexity or difficult subject matter or just straight up weirdness.

Oh Poirot is a *strong* play, but I’ll go with Babylon 5’s evolving opening credits over the 5 year arc.
favorite opening credits sequence, go

mine is the one-two punch of the Edward Gorey “Masterpiece Mystery” illustrated animation followed by the 80s Art Deco stylings of “Poirot”
We used to have proper opening credits in this country

of course there are a few notable exceptions but the answer to “what order should i read/watch/play this series in?” is almost always “order of release.” they didn’t release them in that order by accident

Don't Rest Your Head was my introduction to the world of smaller press/indie TTRPGs and it remains one of my absolute favorites to this day. Equal parts wonder and horror, does an amazing job simulating that burnt-edges feel of severe sleep deprivation, everyone should give it a try at least once.
It's a deep deep track in our catalog but if you're a fan of Don't Rest Your Head, you can now play the game on @roll20.net with all the meticulous care and attention you've come to expect from our offerings.
After some obsessive coding (I know no other way), Roll20 now has a much updated and now official sheet for my personal creation, Evil Hat's first commercial publication, Don't Rest Your Head.

To the climate change themed board game Daybreak and to Endless Quest author and former TSR employee Rose Estes.

Called my Congressperson here in St. Louis county today to add a voice asking to either vote a simple "no" or at least amend it to send it back to the Senate on Trump's ugly mess of a bill. Not expecting much, but I agree with those that say it's important we at least use our voices to call it out.

It's never about the science. It's always about having a legal basis for your fear and hatred of other people.
My husband has taught human reproduction and development to the Cambridge medics for over three decades. When people start banging on about "only two biological sexes" he starts with "which sex: genetic, hormonal, or gonadal"?

Biological sex is not binary. www.scientificamerican.com/article/sex-...

Reposting this one more time as I limp through the last two weeks until I start getting paychecks again.

It feels inadequate to say again but I don't know how else to, that I can't thank everyone enough for everything you've done
So I got let go from my job with no warning the first week of 2025, disqualified from unemployment bc of the small amount I make from AniFem; got a job offer, but it won't start for at least another week. I'm sorry to ask for help now. But bills are getting scary.
