Comics and comic con fanatic. I can't write, I can't draw, I can't colour, I can't edit. Therefore, *of course* I have a podcast, are you crazy??

Lots of new followers lately: hello there, I guess!

A re-introduction: my name is Leonard Sultana, I'm a middle aged nerd based in Yorkshire, married to Caroline, currently looking after my dad who is not in a good way but we’re muddling on, I guess.

What’s with the San Diego thing? Well…

@rachaelstott.bsky.social You liking my post reminded me of your 'Star Trek TOS titles vs TNG titles' post rolling past on Reddit the other night, me laughing me bits off, and I have to reach out and say, bravo, work o' accurate genius, Rachael. 👏👏👏👏

There was nothing wrong with SUPERMAN, James did him right.

Hey, you there! eagerly downloading that new Full Cast version of those books by the mouldy bigot lady, this is YOU doing that. This is what you are funding, the needlessly cruel ripping up of trans people's lives

A very cold cup of coffee to start the day - the US is self-conditioned to thinking it's the Greatest Country In The World instead of realising it's the Biggest, Unstoppable Bully In The Schoolyard: one we should read to realise we can't stand up to them and one they should read to know we have to.
I think many, or most Americans see our country or did see our country as the biggest kid in class, there to shut down the 'bullies' when we could.

Most Americans know the term 'banana republic' without actually knowing the horrific history. I didn't learn it in school for sure.

Most...

Nonscientific poll: would folks be interested in the opening chapter to #Nostos in standalone accordion format, w/bonus behind the scenes, process stuff included before the book is finished (it’d be printed there as well in standard book format)? Hoping to finally make this happen! #Unflattening 2

I know there are some lit agents out there in my feed. Any of you cover contemporary romance and looking for new clients? Sounds like Jessica might have a winner on her hands (both literally and figuratively!)
The very last thing I expected when I submitted my first novel for a bit of feedback from The Black List was to win their inaugural UNPUBLISHED NOVEL AWARD!

Stunned, honored, and hopeful this means WE MEET AGAIN can find its way to you!

That’s from the latest Empire, which I also text-posted from yesterday. I wouldn’t normally do so, but this was too funny to resist. It’s from the McDowell interview with Chris Hewitt & all of it is great fun. I do believe Empire is actually improving with age, which gawd knows few enough things do.

Yeah, I'm not going to get the #LEGOStarWars Advent Calendar next year, they're clearly running out of ideas. A pre-'constructed' Babu Frik on Day 1? Whatever on earth this is supposed to be for Day 2?? What, is it Babu's workshop?! This had better improve soon...

Looking at this enormous stack of original art we have taking up space, and wondering how the fuck we can offload all of CROWDED before we need to just straight up burn it

It's official. Angoulême 2026 is canceled and will not take place.

The reviled festival prez Franck Bondoux is defiant, blames the various govt institutions for betraying him, and vows to remain in power.

Seems he wants to burn the festival to the ground if he can't have it.
