The thing you need to know about Michael Wolff is that he began his career by running his media company into the ground and then convinced his staff to defer their salaries so he could resign and clear out the payroll account to pay for a family trip to Italy and then wrote a book about it

So many library professionals are just way too enthusiastic about embracing AI for me. This field really needs to exercise more caution and criticality sometimes.

Dragons think we are amusing. But they remember Erreth-Akbe. They speak of him as if he were a dragon, not a man.

With the politicization of libraries, every day I am more relieved for myself that I have escaped to the vendor side instead of remaining in public libraries.

I just don't have it in me to be so consistently face-to-face with people who think my mere presence in the library is an offense.

Hey everybody - I'm sure this has come up before: Are there any TTRPG archivists/libraries/librarians? People that collect games not just for personal use but to keep a record of existing games/offer public viewing?

My favorite way to torment other gay men who are slightly older than myself is to say "OMG! I love a silver fox!" when they say "I'm 40."

Perhaps I'm a teensy bit manic, but I've applied to a local university as a non-degree-seeking student because their audit costs are cheap. I think I'm going to take a few classes just for fun--some creative writing and computer science classes as opportunities present.

I hope this isn't a weird platform to ask on-
The Kickstarter for The Magus had VTT support as an early stretch goal. Was that just meant to be providing the deck as PDF? Or, were there plans to make, say, a Foundry module, Roll20 support etc. for using the cards easily in a VTT?

I live with a U.S. historian, can confirm this question was settled well before Pete Hegseth became a person I was forced to know about.
one cynically funny thing about Hegseth thinking he can retcon the genocide atop which America was built is that the rest of the world is not fooled & will never be fooled. World history will always teach that the Army committed organized murder of civilians at Wounded Knee. It’s generally known

Played Slay The Princess: The Pristine Cut. Was utterly fresh to it. I cried a little for the ending I got. Very good interactive storytelling.

I like Jimmy Kimmel. I really do. I have no issues with him.

I'm talking about something very different.

Kimmel was only suspended. But he's back now. Karen Attiah and all the other Black journalists are still fired.

Y'all do know how to fight, when you want to.

But you don't really want to. 🤷🏿‍♂️
