Rich tech people who don't create or write code often got extremely lucky early in their careers and attributed it to their superior knowledge and then the tech press who didn't know shit either called them geniuses (they aren't) and now they talk out their ass every opportunity they get
as an aside I am.... fatigued...by CEOs and rich people pretending to be anthropologists, sociologists, and otherwise exceptionally gifted in understanding much of anything, much less why poor rural Americans are prone to electorally self-immolate
