While Donald Trump hurts Michigan’s economy, Mike Duggan is courting Republican donors at a fundraiser today hosted by Jeff Sakwa, the former co-chair of the Michigan Republican Party.

Duggan can’t be trusted.

Here are some things that Charlie Kirk said in his life.

The man is dead, and so it only seems fair to share his legacy by cataloguing the values he spread while alive.

Christian persecution in America is best defined by this image: No actual struggle, wearing clothes that cost more than my entire wardrobe, polished cross instead of rugged, and surrounded by crowds of fellow hypocrites cheering on bigotry who believe they're the victims.
Bearing your cross is a lot easier with wheels.

It is the job of the Democratic party to sell and defend the policies that most Democratic voters want, not to present a candidate slate that is palatable to moderate Republicans who might switch if they hate their own candidate enough.

1. Call your reps about Trump's violation of the War Powers Act

2. Demand Congress haul Hegseth etc. in for hearings/briefings on justification

3. Demand to know why the Gang of Eight was not kept in the loop.

Do it NOW.

Far right extremists, inspired by Trump per Whitmer herself, tried to kidnap her. Trump himself later suggested it was a fake plot and mocked it. He called her ‘that woman in Michigan’ and led a crowd that chanted ‘lock her up.’

Today Whitmer hugged him on the tarmac.

This is why Dems lose. 🤷🏽‍♂️👇🏽

I feel like, at some point after the election, Whitmer was looking for a new adviser and said “get me the guy who put Dukakis in that tank.”

Well, as a Michigander this is disappointing.
Democratic Michigan governor, Gretchen Whitmer appeared at a Trump rally and expresses how grateful she is and thanks Trump while speaking at the event.

She's selling out her state to fascism.

With the recent news story about the White House considering ways to encourage women to have more babies, I thank Chloe Anygal for reminding me that I already covered this. None of this is about us.

“The haranguing of women will continue until white women are brought to heel.”

Criminals deserve due process because due process is literally how we determine whether someone is, *in fact*, a criminal

Can’t say more strongly: they are claiming the power to disappear people with no recourse, to entirely remove anyone they want to, forever, with no ability to stop them.

“Unamerican” doesn’t do it justice. Diametrically opposed to anything even remotely resembling a society we should support.

“Trump is illegally disappearing people. He is proposing abducting Americans. He must be removed from power. He no longer has authority.”

And honestly that’s the weak version of what Democrats should be saying.

AOC: We must acknowledge the terrifying moment we are in right now. What we are hearing and seeing with our own eyes is, in fact, happening. We are watching our neighbors, students, and friends being fired, targeted, and disappeared. It is real.

Evil enough on its own, but one thing to note about child abuse is how every single Republican voted to more than double the child poverty rate, from 5.2% in 2021 to 12.4% in 2022, by ending the expanded child tax credit.
In a statement proclaiming National Child Abuse Prevention month, Trump called trans people child abusers and the biggest threat to children.
