A small part of this that annoys me is how these companies won't make certain kinds of games because they're too risky, but they aren't averse to the risks of the plagiarism machine?
Call of Duty making a zillion dollars all the time -- and being supported by a literal trillion-dollar company -- and still using AI for art assets is so incredibly pathetic and infuriating.

Anti-cheat will still be one of the biggest problems for the new Steam Machine
Kernel-level anti-cheat feels like it's everywhere now, and will remain a thorn in Valve's side for the new Steam Machine powered by SteamOS Linux.

@skillup.bsky.social your Outer Worlds 2 review is solid but I could tell you haven’t played Fallout New Vegas recently or at all. OW2 reused nearly 50% of the mechanics present in FNV and in some cases answers your gripes about faction reactivity.

I'm convinced that Xbox today would be in a different place if Kinect had never become a thing. This was the point when things started to go off the rails.
For better or for worse, The Xbox Kinect was released 15 years ago today.

I can’t believe my bitch ex wife doesn’t think this is the sickest fucking thing she’s ever seen. It’s the kind of truck Halo would drive.

Anyone remember this hardware bundle? This PlayStation Portable Star Wars combo from 2007 includes a silk-screened Darth Vader design and a version of Star Wars Battlefront.

Help me remember. Wasn't there a game recently that got delayed because its story didn't clear internal quality checks? It was just a few months ago.

I would’ve returned to the franchise bc this setting for an AC game sounds fresh and interesting. I don’t understand what is so “concerning” or “political” about fighting white supremacy.
