LTT said it would be priced towards PC markets so I’m hoping it hits that sweet spot but so much is in the air
😶
Valve priced the steam deck very well so I’m sure they will try their best for the machine.

Don’t even mention the hot swapping micro sd slot!!! It’s something I actually really love. Just hoping price isn’t too crazy.

I was on the fence.

Dbrand pushed me over 😭
I simply want it for travel at this point

Most popular GPU’s may not be able to compete with current gen games at 1440p or above according to this HW survey.

I see maybe they have arrived from imported library but 90% desktop users coming from pc doesn’t indicate most up to date hardware.

Consider the steam HW survey and most popular GPU’s either being aged or simply out of date. This is a question of performance and the next upgrade for people.

What about steam deck adopters wanting to go to desktop gaming? Their library is finally built and they don’t have to succumb to $1500 prebuilt with warranty purchases, windows 11 issues, and complexities of gaming on pc. This is more of a plug and play solution in of gaming like a beefy deck.

If you want to dig deep why OW2 works look at FNV / FO3 really add mechanical layers that aren’t in many FPS RPGS, not even cyberpunk.

PS

It’s makes S2 of fallout even better with all the New Vegas lore

I HIGHLY recommend you play it as Viva New Vegas
(Vanilla plus mod pack that makes FNV playable by today’s standards)
STEPS:
- nexus mods premium account 1 month
- wabbajack to install it all with no modding knowledge
- play the game 120 fps, no crashes, better graphics, sprint and better ADS

You can probably watch the whole game if you started the wait at cars land

You are already doing the lords work Alex. Is there a rule of thumb relative to Linux performance? Like if performance were to be “okay” in windows would it be safe to assume relatively similar performance in Linux (same HW) or are there too many variables? Only asking since I hardly benchmark.

You saved me tons of speculation for Linux compatibility on my main rig, but also allowing me to potentially take it on the go. Love the content!!!

I thought I was the only one. It also indirectly amps the difficulty until you hit a wall and then spend the multitude of points mastering new mechanics like a matrix character

I’ll concede that it is *$40 for multiplayer focused games most of the time now
