I think there's a pretty benign explanation to this but also those are such small sums of money that I think there's a nonzero chance that they're cover for something more nefarious, like there were threats against Ortiz's family and they paid him to give the appearance like he had a say in the matter. They are both from the DR and on the same team. I don't find that to be a coincidence
