This is your regular reminder that the federal government is actively monitoring social media and most social media sites will comply with subpoenas to some degree.

So, you know. Be careful what you post

I love to show up every day for my job, which is standing around holding the front of my tactical vest and getting told to choke to death by thousands of passers-by while 11 of my coworkers handcuff a roofer on his way to work. Every night I drive 80 minutes home, thinking about nothing at all.

The French Revolution started because people were starving and instead of helping, the government built fancy palaces and told the people it was their own fault. The people literally invented a more efficient death machine because they couldn't get rid of the aristocrats fast enough. Just sayin'.

A lot of folks may think that just yelling at ICE agents is ineffective, but consider the cumulative psychological toll of being yelled at EVERY DAY when trying to do shit. Even the biggest asshole in the world who doesn't give a shit about other people will feel the pressure.

USDA is legally required to use the contingency funds on SNAP benefits for November.

In July, President Trump and Congressional Republicans enacted the largest cuts to SNAP in history.

The reason they aren't planning on providing SNAP benefits is that they don't want to.

Trump giving golfers cancer now feels about right, dystopia wise.
In L.A., when much of Altadena burned there were at least protocols for limiting further spread of heavy metals and asbestos by wrapping & covering debris before hauling it.

Are contractors doing _any_ of that here? You can see golfers standing right beside clouds of dust from unloading trucks!
The White House's East Wing construction rubble was taken to East Potomac Golf Course. It was reported that the rubble will be used to create mounds on the golf course.

EXCLUSIVE: One Saturday afternoon in October, my phone lit up with a notification.

I glanced down at the message.

“Anna, Lindsey Halligan here,” it began.

So began my text exchange with the woman who is prosecuting the president's perceived political enemies.

Take note of all these people turning out for protests in small towns in red states.

Remember them the next time you’re inclined to write an area off because “they voted for this.”

So yesterday a reporter asked Donald Trump about the writ of habeas corpus, and he had no idea what it was.

"I don't know," he said. "I'd rather leave that to Kristi."

Well, It turns out Sen. Hassan asked Kristi Noem about it in May, and this was Noem's response:
HASSAN: What is habeas corpus?

NOEM: Habeas corpus is a constitutional right that the president has to be able to remove people from this country

HASSAN: That's incorrect

Stephen Miller said the quiet part out loud. Trump has “plenary authority,” then suddenly went silent. Their plan wasn’t to be public yet. Clearly, someone hit the panic button in his earpiece.

It gets weirder: CNN uploaded the interview with the “plenary authority” comment edited out.

The president just gathered the highest ranking officers in the military to tell them that he may order them to kill American citizens -- and that they better follow his orders. All in response to a series of crises that have no basis in reality.
