Fluids in HyperK
-Restore volume, incr kidney perfusion leading to incr urine output + K elimination
-0.9% saline: pH 5.5, big Cl load. Worsen acidosis leading incr serum K
-LR superior: small amount of K in it won’t raise serum K. Won’t contribute to acidosis

UK government is responding to concerns about migrants arriving on overcrowded small boats. To deter them, it’s threatening to seize their cars and e-bikes. Surely, if they had such things, they wouldn’t be on a small boat? 10/10 for cruelty AND stupidity.

It's a revealing moment...

J.D. Vance welcomes a two-legged robot helping on the job site. But if that helper is a person named Jose, he calls it a threat. Same tasks, same productivity boost.

The inconsistency reveals this isn’t about economics.

It's real, and it's mind-blowing.

A complete lack of awareness and a national embarrassment.
Just some British patriots in Benidorm, taking over a street in Spain to shout in their own language about unwanted foreigners. It’s a blessing that they are too thick to understand irony.

I came to this country as a child refugee. No English, no certainty, no idea what my life could become. Britain gave me refuge.

Not on a timer, not with conditions attached, but with a chance to grow roots.

Nursing staff dedicate their lives to caring for others, and too often they are faced with the most appalling hatred and intimidation.

The government must stop pandering to dangerous anti-migrant sentiments and employers must prioritise tackling racism. Staff have the right to be safe at work.

There was a time when I'd have cared deeply about the BBC.

But they adopted a deliberate policy of kowtowing to the right, backing away from every fight, believing compliance would protect the license fee, and the right would leave them alone.

Stand up to bullies, or get knocked down by reality.
