It is lovely that Nebula is AI-free as well as ad-free tbh. It’s like YouTube but good.
Completely AI-free and devoid of slop, I think we've managed to build a platform which very much *isn't* designed to keep you swiping and scrolling, but wants you to find something you actually want to watch as fast as possible.

Which I guess is the ultimate side benefit of being ad free.

An exit strategy with preservation in place for when support is ended and for example where online servers are shut down. How will players be able to continue enjoying the game after you no longer support it? Open sourcing code, allowing for private servers without reverse engineering etc.

"As someone working in law, it’s heresy to say this, and it might even kill my chances of a career... But as a trans person, and someone fighting for the rights of my community, I refuse to remain silent. To me it just seems obvious: a heavily prejudiced society produces prejudiced institutions."
It’s no surprise that only 31% of trans people trust a legal system built to enforce prejudice, says Jess O’Thomson.

So Trump pardoning more people just now, including Rudy

usually pardons like that come near the end of a term

unless they're in court or in prison or shit

and Trump doesn't usually care about others so I don't think he'd care if he died and left them in a lurch

so what's up with that

Weird request: in July @amnestyuk.bsky.social said they’d done a report on anti-rights groups in the UK

Does anyone have a copy of that report?

Their website only has this blog summarising it, not the report itself. News articles about it also only link the blog. I wanna read the full report!

with the end of the shutdown looming, here's my look for @wired.com into what life has been like for EPA employees over the past five weeks: little to no heads up about who was getting furloughed next, important projects getting put on the back burner while deregulation moves forward:
The EPA Is in Chaos
“We learn who is furloughed when we send an email to someone and get the out-of-office message,” one employee tells WIRED.

While the rest of us struggle to keep our DNS records updated and our sites up and Zombocom survives like the third constant alongside death and taxes and I am 100% here for it and will be bereft if it ever leaves us
In November 1999, the Zombo dot com website was created as a parody of the creative, but, largely pointless flash intros, which were trending at the end of the 1990s. Welcome... to ZomboCom.
