The federal deal to end the shutdown will make hemp-derived THC products in Minnesota essentially illegal, jeopardizing over 5,000 licensed businesses and $200 million a year.

This is a reckless interference into Minnesota's marketplace and Congress needs to fix it before irreparable harm is done.

Just for fun! What is your astrological sign and what is your most painfully on-brand trait?

I'm a Sagittarius ♐ and I WILL keep the party going well past EVERYONE'S bedtime* 😂

*but I also know when it's time to leave - I just move the party elsewhere

My dad was the bassist of this band back in 1989. They turned down fame in favour of enjoying themselves, but I legitimately love his stuff and felt it'd be a disservice not to let people in on this hidden gem.

I wouldn't frame this as "add to the questions" as much as "answers the questions"
The emails, made public by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee, add to the questions about Trump's friendship with Epstein and about any knowledge he may have had in what prosecutors call a yearslong effort by Epstein to exploit underage girls.
See the Emails: Epstein Said Trump 'Knew About the Girls' and 'Spent Hours' With a Victim
Jeffrey Epstein wrote in an email Donald Trump had "spent hours" at Epstein's house with a victim and said Trump "knew about the girls."

I'm already losing track. We need a list of who all had what ties and how deep they went, because if this could wipe away the ruling class in one fell swoop, that'd be grand.

(don't nay-say this dream, I need to hold on to it!)
Detroit real estate developer Philip Kafka said that his father Terry Kafka's inclusion in Epstein's birthday book "overstated" their friendship.

In 2016, Philip cc'd Epstein on a political convo he was having with his father about Bernie/Hillary/Trump, and wrote "Epstein 2016!"

The incredibly poor writing in all these documents isn't upsetting in respect to their involvement in a CSA ring, but it IS vexing in respect to how much power these fucks wield over our lives.

as someone who was paid to do it for over a decade, i dont know how people can stand to watch cable news for free. it doesnt inform you about anything. they repeat either conventional wisdom or newswire reporting you could scan in 5 minutes. it is a net negative for humanity.

House Dems on oversight releasing these emails and controlling the narrative is the kind of shit republicans always do but they have to make shit up and mischaracterize their source material. The House Dems have proven my thesis that this can be done effectively without lying. Well done.

The symbolism here shouldn't be overlooked.

In Mexico, "Adelita" was a common name for warrior women in the Revolution.
Rep. Adelita Grijalva (D-AZ) is the 218th signature on the bipartisan discharge petition demanding the release of the Epstein files. Under House rules, the House must act in 7 legislative days.

This still isn't great.

So what if Archbishop Coakley fights against the death penalty - that means NOTHING if WOMEN are consigned to death.

It is one thing to have a personal spiritual view - but when you force that view by way of law to limit the right of women to live freely? Fuck you.
