I'm really glad more people are realizing how brutal ICE has been in Chicago but it's really weird to see people talking about Rev Black getting attacked like it happened yesterday and not 3 weeks ago. Like, I'm glad people are catching up! But it's very weird.

it is NOT a misunderstanding on bsky's part, it's not about the meme or the argument Link made in good faith contesting the ban, it's that they made rules specifically to use the utterance of ch@rlie k!rk's name as justification for banning people
again, bsky made their new ToS knowing exactly who they'd be able to ban with it and who would always remain immune while being a heinous presence

Mamdani serves a full, nutritious meal in an era where politics is either deadly poison or vacuous junk food. He uses the tried and true "we did, we can, we will" framework that helps abate cynicism but without papering over past harms or present injustice.
