Don't forget folks: allowing yourself a vision of the future you'd want for our country and planet - not the one you'd settle for, not the one you fear, but the future of your dreams - isn't naive, it's a vital cognitive skill. That's how we articulate what we most value. What's worth fighting for.
Instead of whatever this is, we should have a government getting lots of new homes and apartments built, lots of clean energy built, lots of high speed rail and transit and bike lanes built, human rights for everyone, economic & healthcare opportunities for all, & innovation that leads the world.

One of the things making me happy these days is seeing how enthusiastic Zohran Mamdani is about being our new mayor and how he's pretty much hit the ground running. 😆😭 #ZohranMamdani #MayorMamdani #NYC

Honestly, when anyone gives to my #GoFundMe. I personally know some who’ve donated, but many I’ve never met and I’m especially amazed by strangers’ generosity. So far, I’ve been able to pay down the larger of the two dental bills, thanks to you. gofund.me/d1a406cf8 #DentalCare #Healthcare #MutualAid

this store is 18+ and they’re strict as hell about it. none of this has ever been about “protecting children,” it’s about trying to force trans people to disappear
After a boutique on South Street received a warning letter from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for selling breast binders for gender-affirming care, the region’s transgender community worries about the potential wider impacts.

1. Did you know that Girl Scouts has, for a long time, accepted trans girls and nonbinary scouts?

Trans kids are under attack. Every year, I make a thread of trans and nonbinary girl scouts you can get your cookies from.

Lets get our cookies from them this year in solidarity!

The lesson of January 6th is that it does absolutely no good to prosecute the the violent foot soldiers if you're not going to prosecute the leaders and hold them accountable for their sedition under the full force of the law.

Like so many of us, I *clearly* remember watching the violent attempt to overthrow democracy, live, in real time & unedited on TV after reading, hearing & seeing months of clear, intentional steps toward that goal on this day.

I was trapped in my home in DC on 1/6/21, afraid that armed traitors were going to burn down our city. Our collective failure to hold any of them, including Trump, accountable for sedition, is currently threatening to burn down the entire country.

Someone asked me to comment on the anniversary of Jan 6. I will consider having comments on it….should it ever end. We are very much still reaching for the nadir of this reclamation. No time yet for historicizing it. Still trying to survive it.

You'll see individuals taking a stand but if you're expecting a national chain/global brand to intentionally even inconvenience the regime on a moral basis, you're going to be waiting forever. Boycotting and divestment are important tools but it'll take much more to slow down what approaches.
