A bunch of weirdos with a documented party history of pedophilia who are in the middle of covering for Epstein want to hang out at child care centers. Fucking freaks. And we should say so.

If you begin Star Trek: Voyager episode Spirit Folk at exactly 11:49:35 on New Year's Eve, Ensign Harry Kim will kiss a cow as the clock strikes midnight. Join in a very dumb annual tradition and start 2026 off on the right hoof.

So cool.
So reindeer (Rangifer tarandus) can't fly, but they are VERY MAGICAL.

For example, their EYES CHANGE COLOR during the year & they're one of the few large mammals that can see UV. Golden brown in summer, deep blue in winter.

Let's talk about the unique visual adaptations of Rudolph and company.

This is one of the funniest things I've seen in a while.
Will Arnett was on Conan and told a story about how Conan dealt with the death of his parents by accusing Jason Bateman of killing them. It’s so funny.

Read the whole thread. Both the ideas shared within, and the realization that smarter people than I have wrestled with them long ago, are enlightening.
A friend who teaches theology shared with me a post about CS Lewis's Mere Christianity, which discusses foundational Christian logic across denominations. It reminded me of Dale's tweet below, and I wanted to share some thoughts here regarding modesty and respectability, which are often hot topics.

This entire thread is wonderful. Among many insightful quotes, this excerpt most grabbed my attention. "The capacity to live with difference" (and lack thereof) is playing out across our nation.
In my article, I quoted something from Stuart Hall's "Culture, Community, Nation," an essay first published in a 1993 issue of Cultural Studies. He writes:

"It should not be necessary to look, walk, feel, think, speak exactly like a paid-up member of the buttoned-up, stiff-upper-lipped, ...

it's wild to watch this happening in a situation where we've had no prior military engagements with the country or recent attack to even drum up a public desire for vengeance. nothing at all is going down but Trump is clearly trying to push Iraq 2.0 on the country.

I swear my five year old lives in mortal fear of our dogs smelling her behind.

Fresh from a bath, not yet dressed, she's stomping around outside the bathroom shouting "Don't. Sniff. My. BUTT!" with the same energy as Key & Peele talking about Liam Neeson.

If you’re a journalist who’s still on Twitter, from now on in your writing you have to replace “the American people want” with “troll bots in Eastern Europe demand”

Being there makes your judgment suspect. I don’t care how savvy you think you are, you’re marinating in a disinformation campaign.
