i don't believe a puberty blocker ban is bad because evidence suggests they're safe. i believe it's bad because children's bodily autonomy is being taken away because they're trans or questioning. if the evidence suggested long term risk made it more questionable, i would still oppose the ban.

i think about this whenever people talk about ardern 'not being racist'
One of the things that grinds my gears about the Nats is the whole "rarely say anything overtly racist, but dog whistle by purposefully mangling the pronunciation of Māori/Te Reo words"
