Agreed. Economically Britain has been a vassal state of USA for decades, chewed up & spat out countless times, but now the American far right are targeting the BBC & NHS and they want govt control via Farage. This is no conspiracy, it’s in the open. Labour really need to wake up and act accordingly

But court records, interviews and other accounts from people close to Vought show that DOGE’s efforts were guided, more than previously known, by the OMB director.

“I can’t imagine that the DOGE team knew to target all these little parts of the government without Russ pointing them there.”
Vought holds one of the most powerful jobs in D.C., and he’s used his position to wage a quiet war to change the shape of the entire U.S. government.

Here's what you should know about Trump’s shadow president.

In the century leading up to 1975, nearly 6000 freighters went down in the Great Lakes.

The Edmund Fitzgerald was the last.

The last. In 50 years, not a single commercial freighter has been lost in the Great Lakes.

Why?

It's NOAA. Of course it's NOAA.

It was in Project 2025 to do this. Defund SNAP. Thought up by people who've leeched off the public they're now trying to starve and deny affordable healthcare.

Because it will, in their minds, cause violence that will justify their narratives.

And democrats keep slipping up like this is normal.

Trump and Musk cut USAID and over 600,000 people have died because of it.

Over 400,000 of them, children.

And not one member of the press will say it to Musk’s nor Trump’s faces or even the American people’s.

It should be on the front page of every paper worldwide.

I agree with this, but I think if the BBC were better led, it would make fewer culpable errors and it would both directly and indirectly be better placed to fight the real and concerted campaign against it.
The fact that the BBC has made serious culpable errors does not negate the point that there is a real and concerted right-wing media campaign to destroy it. Both points can be true at the same time and the campaign would not end even if the errors did.
