Trump's Chicago deportation blitz has hinged on aggressive and forceful policing tactics: Shootings, takedowns, chokeholds, car chases, chemical munitions, etc.

To get a better sense of the scope and the impact, we mapped incidents, spoke to those affected and analyzed policy.

Tear gas, car crashes, rubber bullets: Risky tactics have driven Trump’s Chicago deportation ‘blitz’
Law enforcement experts say federal agents have displayed a lack of training and restraint. “They’re out of control,” ex-police Supt. Garry McCarthy says.

You probably saw videos of a nighttime raid in Chicago. Agents rappelling from a helicopter, bursting down doors, questioning brown-skinned immigrants.

We investigated -- and found little evidence to support the government’s claims about Tren de Aragua.

Apropos of nothing on a busy news day, but my brain is broken and I just want to post about Star Wars.

I don't think Darth Vader was redeemed at the end of ROTJ. What's remarkable -- at least to me -- is that he was transformed, opening the possibility of redemption as a spirit one with the Force.

"What's the point of standards?"
“I’ve been hearing that standards will be eliminated or severely cut back. Bari has told people that she wants to get rid of standards and is shocked that they have so much power. She also asked openly, ‘What’s the point of standards?’” one CBS source said.

Federal agents' use of force during Chicago deportation operations "shocks the conscience," the Trump administration's arguments "lack credibility," and a Border Patrol official lied about tear gas use, a judge ruled Thursday.
Federal judge enters broader order governing feds' use of force during immigration blitz
The judge previously forbade federal agents from using tear gas or other “riot control” weapons against people who pose no immediate threat and without two warnings during the deportation campaign. However, that order was set to expire at 11 a.m. Thursday.

Watch how government ‘propaganda’ techniques portray Chicago as a city at war with the feds
The government’s social media storytelling doesn’t always match what’s happening in the across the city and suburbs. The diverging sources of information are creating “parallel universes," Professor Nick Cull says.
