Hey @mcuban.bsky.social am I crazy for thinking a small-but-growing left-wing or center-left media organization could capitalize for a pitch to bring a Kimmel or Colbert into their programming? I don’t know media economics very well, but it seems like a big swing that could pay off?

As a firm “vote blue no matter who” subscriber since the 2016 primary, I am actually pretty damn disappointed, though only mildly surprised, in the establishment/centrist types who used that slogan for years on people on the left while not adhering to it themselves.

I’ve been genuinely astonished how slow Twitter/Bluesky left-leaning people have been to discover that Reddit is anti-Trump as hell. I still hear “Reddit is for MAGA incel” type jokes all the time and like, dude, that’s your audience. Come on back, the water’s fine.
I remember when Reddit was kind of a MAGA techbro cesspool, and it’s fascinating how it’s now conventional wisdom that Reddit Is For Trump-Haters.

I was told that protecting due process couldn't be a winning political issue because a poll from before this gained wide publicity showed people weren't already upset about it.
