I say this knowing full well I have approximately zero chance of reaching most people that need to hear it, but

1. Read this: arstechnica.com/tech-policy/...

2. If you use TikTok or Shorts, you should look into Loops instead.

Loops is federated. No central control. No MAGA takeover.
Trump says TikTok should be tweaked to become “100% MAGA”
Uncertainty reigns as Trump claims China approved TikTok deal.

the "tax the billionaires" political refrain is Good Actually in part because it is a call for the people at the top to actually be constrained by rules informed by the public interest, a virtue that fingerwagging correctives about how much revenue such taxes would *really* generate doesn't address

Dobson was also a huge advocate of corporal punishment for children. As someone who grew up with that, I can tell you the obvious: it doesn’t work! Only made me distrust my parents and want to hit back.

So Rest in [any kind of gross substance you can imagine), James Dobson.

This isn’t a cure for AIDS, it’s a sometimes cure for HIV* in infants. HIV
and AIDS are not interchangeable. If an infant has developed AIDS it’s highly unlikely antiretrovirals would result in a cure, but rather would cause them to be undetectable. HIV is the virus, AIDS is a condition caused by it

My mom and stepdad are from the same diaspora group as Zohran Mamdani’s dad (same like “my stepdad was kicked out of the same town and knows some of his classmates”) and apparently the New York Times doesn’t understand how diaspora works, so I am going to tell you a little about my mom’s people!

I have been generally indifferent to most professional sports since childhood, and would happily start following baseball if Chomsky got a franchise for the Cambridge Colorless Greens.
Fucknuts. he's a good owner who spends some on his team and that team has my city's heart. When Noam Chomsky or Leon Trotsky buys a ballclub let me know and I'll root for them. Until then, eat that proverbial bag of stale dicks. And thank you.
The O’s are owned by David Rubinstein, founder of The Carlyle Group and Chair of the Council on Foreign Relations. Talk about “wanton capitalism and imperial arrogance”!

This is what’s great about sports. “My team owned by billionaires is more pure than your team owned by billionaires!”

Open the valve a fraction too late, and urine escaped to float around the cabin.

Open it too early and the vacuum of space reached through the valve to grab your manhood.

Apparently, the venting of pee into space is very pretty. It catches the sunlight and sparkles.
