My best political advice is to loudly and continuously communicate your sincere beliefs instead of playing a game of reading tea leaves from voters who think foreign aid is 25% of the government’s budget and couldn’t find Pokrovsk on a map if they tried.

The one where we do see a massive step change? It's the massive disconnect between what folks say about their own financial situation vs "the economy" (local & national). That's entirely consistent with what they've heard about "the economy" in the media in that period, esp. in conservative media.
