heterosexuality is a fascist regime and y’all do not hate it enough. like yeah is this ridiculous and mockable? yes. it’s also fundamental to the current rise of right wing fascism in the West.

saying men like this are secretly gay is absolutely underestimating your enemy, not to mention homophobic
"Everything straight is actually gay" is my favourite kind of ragebait posts by these morons.

Issues of rights are political, they are moral. Making them a matter of expert consensus cedes ground we can't afford to lose in terms of who gets to make decisions about our lives.

Thinking about why "x is being used as a political football" irks me so much lately and I think it's that it's a depoliticising framing of struggles against oppression.

The only way to avoid this is to act to liberate yourself; to not entrust your freedom to any other, but to always see yourself as the ultimate protector and advocate of your own interests.

Solidarity does not mean you put yourself aside, or accept being put aside. We fight together.

This means that the relation between the 'liberator' and the 'liberated' is fundamentally conditional upon the 'liberator' having an interest in maintaining it; rather than becoming liberated, you become a protectorate under the control of your 'liberator'.

This is your regularly scheduled reminder that no party, institution, or organization is going to liberate you. Any promise of protection or support is conditional on their continued desire to provide it; the moment that doing so becomes too much of a bother for them, they will stop supporting you.

Class struggle politics is fundamentally liberal because it only allows for one power struggle. Within the working class everything has to be ideology not fundamental power struggles because if there are irresolvable differences then the entire project collapses.
Because they've bought into the idea of a single revolutionary subject in the form of the proletariat and the only way to deal with the obvious material divisions in the way of that is to cope about false consciousness

So many people who imagine themselves to be Marxists have a deeply liberal and idealist understanding of transphobia. It's not a debate, it's a power struggle and if you aren't willing to clearly take trans people's side, you are a scab.
Nah, bullshit tbh. You don't deal with the presence of transphobes by debating them. That the guy arguing no felt comfortable doing so and wasn't immediately heckled into silence speaks to a fundamental fucking rot.

I am. Fuck these bastards. Socialist movements in the UK have always been and always will be vehicles for the oppression of the vast majority of the working class. Misogynist, racist trash from the fucking 18th century on. Collaborationist cishet white male supremacist crap. Let them rot.
The thing is I'm not rooting against socialist movements. It's GUTTING that YP can't get their shit together. I wanted them to succeed. I am a socialist transfeminist, I didn't /want/ to be for their downfall!

The bet of this whole project from the top was that people would basically get behind King Corbyn due to the force of his brand, and that the sects of the organised left might be a labour pool as where else would they be able to go to stay politically relevant? Turns out, as ever, this was bollocks

This was always how it was going to be. The EHRC is a hate group, attempting to make it legal to discriminate against people based on how they look. This has nothing to do with protecting women and everything to do with hate. We will not take this sitting down. We must resist.

We must BASH BACK.
Excl: Trans people can be questioned over their bio sex & ultimately banned from single-sex spaces based on how they look, guidance submitted to ministers says.

The Times has been leaked the final EHRC guidance submitted to the govt almost three months ago.

I think mine is that woke hasn't gone far enough. It was a line of flight that got captured by capital and became molar (producing woke/not woke break lines). We need to find new lines of flight, molecularise woke, to turn woke into a becoming.

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

'mommy domme is familial relations secenarios' I'm going to scream. This is such egregious hypocrisy when we know what the homepage of pornhub predominantly contains.

This is precisely the territorializing of desire that produces the policing of subjectivity.

The oedipal order must be abolished.

Abolish liberal democracy and build something better. Embrace anarchic forms of mutual accountability and responsibility. Embed democratic decision-making at every level of society, including workers' oversight of industry and service provision.

i wish i could convince myself to hope that maybe, just maybe, THIS time people will finally admit that sexual violence is *political violence*, is a political and social structure, is a technology of oppression, not a private, basically forgivable transgression. but i really can't fool myself
The idea that sexual abuse is part of “private” life instead of a public crisis has done incalculable damage. Anti-rape activists have to fight to even make it possible to expose sexual abuse as a wrongdoing in public without being silenced and undermined. That fight is far from won

In a few more: the BBC has opposed or ignored almost every part of the trans liberation struggle in the UK, in part because one of their millionaire reporters is a hateful little transphobe.
And even she doesn't think they've gone far enough.
