Credit where it's due, MS appear to have fixed this bug. The badge is gone with the latest Word update on MacOS.
This shows up in Microsoft Word now in every single document even if you have Copilot turned off (which I do), and I'm just so tired of this stuff.

Okay, here's what's keeping me from switching to Unix:

1. I work w/ the publishing industry, who ALL use MS Word. I'm unsure if LibreOffice will work for that.

2. PC is my sole gaming platform. I haven't played a multiplayer game since 2006 tho ... so maybe that's fine?

... that's really it.

A local bakery just posted this photo on Facebook. I’ve gotten stuff from her before. Nice older lady. I do not know if she made it but…it’s perfect. Perfect.

“average gamedev makes $142,000 a year" factoid actualy just statistical error. average gamedev makes $0 per year. Executives Georg, who lives in cave & makes over $10,000 each day, is an outlier adn should not have been counted

For me, the Metroid series ended with Super Metroid and I genuinely don't feel that I've missed out on a single thing.

We have repeatedly proven that guaranteed housing and basic income are overall beneficial for both the people who receive them and for society AND for the economy.

Only a deep seated and irrational resentment of someone else "getting a free ride" is really in the way.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

Supposedly this is a "bug" ... which I believe about as much as I believe that the sky is orange.

Happy Transgender Awareness Week! France has had many famous transgender persons from Rachilde, Coccinelle, Bambi and possibly the Chevalier d'Eon. Third gender or non-binary people have long histories going back to ancient cultures.

When Covid caused NYC offices to hollow out what they found was that yeah the core business districts suffered but the neighborhoods where people actually live, thrived.

All WFH means is rethinking business districts, not cities.
if you cant go in to the office 3 days a week then you really can't complain when cities are hollowed out. cities are places where ppl work and network. getting rid of that makes cities useless
And it's usually something like "but that's not what the literal DNC does!" as if I don't know, as someone who has worked on Dem campaigns, sometimes in conjunction with the DNC what they do. So I'm going to be very specific here: this is the DNC being shitty: www.nytimes.com/2025/11/12/u...

Folks, Bernie will be *87* years old in 2028. By the end of his first term, he would be 92. Come on.

I will vote for whoever the nominee is, but the only person on this list I'd be particularly happy to vote for is AOC, and that happiness would be tempered by my doubt that she can actually win.
Nov 6-9 poll on the 2028 election
% of Democrats and Democratic-leaning Independents who say their ideal choice for the 2028 Democratic nominee is:
Harris 21%
Newsom 19%
Buttigieg 10%
Ocasio-Cortez 6%
Sanders 6%
Booker 4%
Warren 3%
Shapiro 3%
Walz 3%

BREAKING: Starbucks workers have launched a massive, nationwide strike.

Baristas in 40 cities have walked off the job on the busiest day of Starbucks' year.

Upwards of 12,000 @sbworkersunited.org members could ultimately go on strike as the union escalates.

Not for nothing but I would disable my ad blocker for small homegrown networks like this. I resisted running one at all until VERY late (like maybe 2022) but it just got to the point where the web was impossible to use without one.

I don't love ads but I do love supporting artists and creators.
OMG Project Wonderful Revived. HYPE! I miss that so much! I was so sad it went down. A comic ad site that helps creators generate money and bid money in to advertise. They seem to have made some numbers of improvements on revenue generating as well. T_T I hope this one lasts. Joining!🔥

I don't understand these accounts that follow you that have, like, six posts, all of them pictures of the supposed account holder, usually with some "inspiring" text. They feel scammy but there's no link, so it's hard to figure out what the scam is. I guess maybe if you follow back, you get a DM?

Re-reading some of the first draft I'm working on (nearly to 20k words now). There are lots of things other authors are better than me at, and I'll happily admit to them. I have to work hard on my description and scene setting, for example.

But my dialog fucking rules. 😄
