Right Back To It was incredible and Tigers Blood was a good continuation of the St Cloud but also more of the same. This Snocaps album is next level though, loving it. snocaps.bandcamp.com/album/snocaps

Waiting for the Democratic Party to provide us with a galvanic opposition leader is like waiting for the Pittsburgh Pirates to sign a major free agent. You're just gaslighting yourself if you believe it will happen. Both could but won't because they don't want to. Biden/Garland inaction: same thing.

i’m just so fucking tired of living through crisis after crisis and feeling like we have to beg for and negotiate with our own representatives to address the crises seriously. they shouldn’t have to be disciplined by the base into mustering an appropriate response to a fucking coup!

is it not weird that every day there’s a new video of anonymous masked men having the time of their lives beating/shooting/disappearing people and the dem response from the top down is “republicans want to double your health insurance premiums”

Wife might kill me but our induction is booked for Monday so I bought a pit ticket to MMJ this Friday.

If baby comes before then, then not using the ticket is a sacrifice I'm willing to pay for a natural labor

And if I get to go, then what a way to celebrate moving from one life stage to the next

Have fallen hard for the Dijon/mk.gee musical universe over the last year. Wild to hear what I assumed was a mk.gee song on the radio and have it turn out to be Justin Bieber

The Make My Bed EP is the best thing KP has done and each album since has just been a bit of a disappointment for me with some good songs sprinkled here and there. Girl Violence feels closest to Make My Bed at least

Relatedly, everyone called Twitter a hellsite for the longest time but up until the day I left (after the election) my timeline was fine and the only time I saw Nazi shit was when other people screenshotted it.
My dad first signed up for Twitter to follow live sports and he’s a freak about U of I. One day he said to me “Twitter is abuzz about Illini golf,” and I was like dude you only follow Illini sports accounts. And that’s how every reporter feels Charlie Kirk was the most important person in the world.

If it’s run for profit, then it’s profiting off of … us.

When I hear that the post office lost money, I think this: Good. We already paid for it. Why on earth should it make even more money from us? Who would keep the money? Would we see it?
I don't want to start a thing so I'll just say that there will never be a good argument for privatizing USPS. That would be like privatizing libraries. The aim of services isn't to be run for profit, they are for serving the greater good, which USPS has been extremely successful at.

if you're not from or have never been to new york i cannot stress enough how normal the subway is 99% of the time. kids take it to school. everyone is basically chill. you learn to be in proximity with harmless weirdos or minor irritations pretty quick. for all its issues it's an incredible thing
