It’s so obvious and needs to be planned for. A movement is coming.
We're seeing the collision of housing shortages and climate impacts everywhere now. Exposed communities all around the world are facing a reckoning with risk that will change them forever.

There is no doubt that Putin bought the Brexit vote in order to create division. The people he channeled money through are active in UK politics today, we know who they are, they should all be in jail for treason

If MEPs were getting paid to lobby for Russia in the European Parliament, what are the chances that Nigel Farage was the only one doing it for free? This is the guy who was charging £71.95 on Cameo for a video message. He doesn't do anything for free.

Boris Johnson was born abroad. I wonder what could possibly be the difference between him and the example below in the minds of not at all racist people?
Nus Ghani MP - the Deputy Speaker - moved to the UK as a small child. She has been elected by the voters in Wealden in 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2024

More outright racism from the regular GB News & Talk TV contributor Lucy White - who previously called (on GB News) for all Muslims to leave Britain

Never discuss politics in work.

There are so many ways that the UK government is hard to distinguish from its far right opposition(s).

But this is actually groundbreaking.

Breaking no new ground to extract fossil fuels.
BREAKING 🚨: The government has just announced that they are ending new oil and gas exploration in the UK and have started a plan for workers and communities to transition away from fossil fuels.

So let's see, Nigel Farage was just a child at school when he spouted racist bile to classmates, but Shamima Begum knew exactly what she was doing and has rightly been rendered stateless 🤔

OK, got it.

Compare this to my rent going up 40% under the Tories giving their mates and sponsors tax breaks.

And energy bills going up so much that businesses had to permanently close.

And our food bills going up because of their Brexit scam.

I guess the media have forgotten about all that.

No. While I do detest FARAGE policies and his hateful influence on both the public debate and our country. I call FARAGE a racist because he constantly promotes race division and hate speech!
FARAGE is and it seems always has been a racist!

Net migration to the UK dropped sharply to 204,000 in the year to June, new figures show

That's a drop from 649,000 in the year to June 2024, and a drop of nearly 80% from the peak in 2023

I'm as underwhelmed by this current government as anyone, but fucking hell the vitriol being levelled at Rachel Reeves is unlike anything I've ever seen directed at a Tory chancellor.

Talk about short memories. Half of Facebook would have Kwasi Kwarteng back in charge.

Just do it. Like the Lib Dems and tuition fees this government, thanks for the winter fuel allowance, is burdened by an original sin which condemns it to one term. May as well do the right thing.

Yep. Aping reform is disastrous. It will be left to the LibDems and the Greens to take them on. head on.
"Labour" following the Tories into oblivion, and for the same reasons.
4. No, it does not mean Labour should turn to the left: that would boost Reform in those Lab-Reform marginals

Far be it from me to say it’s men who are the problem, but…

A J L Partners poll of 5,000 16-40 year olds shows a widening gender divide in the UK.

Men aged 16-25:

Reform: 31%
Labour: 24%
Green: 14%

Women aged 16-25:

Labour: 27%
Green: 25%
Reform: 18%

We moved from 🇫🇷 to 🇬🇧 in 2008. My 2nd child was born in 🇬🇧. In 2018 I said to my husband we should get citizenship to make sure we cannot be kicked out. He told me I was paranoid. The 4 of us got naturalised in 2019 (for £7k btw). 2 days ago he told me “you were right”. Never been so sad to be right.

People who have come to the United Kingdom legally, played by the rules and made it their home do not need to “go home”. This is their home.

I've written to Kemi Badenoch to give her the chance to reject these divisive calls from her frontbencher Katie Lam.
October 22, 2025 at 8:32 AM
So many citizens were born somewhere else but this is home. It’s an evil and heartless concept to say they / we have to leave. Also completely nonsensical economically.
I hate to pull the immigrant card, but as an immigrant, it feels awful when elected MPs say I ‘need to go home’ and propose stripping me and all other immigrants of all our legal rights to live here. No, anywhere immigrants move is their home. The UK is my home.

The more I think about her actual words, and how appallingly under-reported/understood they still seem to be, the more shocked & disgusted I am.
Given Lam's appalling comments, the UK government needs to make it free for those with permanent leave to remain to obtain British citizenship, to promote people making the change, and to make it quicker.

They need to do that to remove understandable anxiety.
