The most stressed out I've ever been about Christmas was when I was 16 and I got my first ever job, working at M&S in Dundrum. As soon as I started I kept hearing these myths about the Christmas Eve Waste Sale, where all the food that wasn't sold on the 24th was marked down 90%.

Aujourd'hui c'est le solstice d'hiver dans l'hémisphère Nord. Les journées vont commencer à rallonger! Le soleil ne se lève à l'Est (centre de l'image avec Nord à gauche, Sud a droite) que lors des équinoxes. La position du lever change un peu tous les jours! (©Z. Al-Abbadi)

Victor Klemperers Tagebücher sollten in jedem Fall in Gänze gelesen werden. Erst dadurch erschließt sich die zunehmende Beklemmung, das Ausmaß der Unterdrückung und des Terrors gegen jüdische bzw. rassifizierte Deutsche, aber auch gegen jene, die sich vor Verfolgung sicher wähnten.
