Trump: "You mean he doesn't like it?"

Reporter: "It's unclear."

Trump: "Well, he'll have to like it. And if he doesn't like it, then they should just keep fighting."

Mandami owned the president in the Oval Office today. Nobody on here is saying Trump earns brownie points for fawning over the mayor-elect. Trump threw a bunch of Republicans’ messaging under the bus because Trump has no principles beyond himself and Mandami is a good politician with charm to burn.
No it isn't. That traitor ass was calling for executions yesterday. And today everyone is gufawwing at his smiling shit smeared mouth.
Mamdani called the bluff of a meeting, but looks like trumpy got his hail mary distraction from his behavior yesterday.
This shit isn't cute.

Trump endorsed Mamdani today.

You know who still hasn't?

Chuck Schumer and Senator Gillibrand, both Democrats.

I completely agree people shouldn't be on X unless necessary, but I don't think it's true that you can't create content that gets views unless it aligns with Musk. He *hates* the kind of nuanced immigration stuff I do, but I still get millions of engagements a week.
If you scroll on X, you are only being shown what Elon wants you to see. If you create content on X, no one will see it unless Elon wants them to.

Just a reminder that it's nice the Mamdani thing went better than everyone expected, but Trump should still be immediately impeached & removed for unprecedented things that were once beyond the pale of American politics.
It's always hard to pick a worst day politically, but today the president called for the death of members of the opposition party, and the administration decided that people were being too hard on the swastika

IJs aren’t even ALJs! They’re technically just attorneys working for DOJ, so they can’t be fired at will, and yet that is EXACTLY what they are doing; citing “Article II” to just fire anyone they deem insufficiently pro-deportation.
As a former ALJ ... ALJ is a terrible system and should never be part of an executive agency.

All I know is that if I’m still practicing I’m raising that issue in every PFR. The problem, of course, would be proving it has an impact in any specific case.
At some point this has got to become a due process issue, right? Lack of a neutral decisionmaker?

They are literally firing all the judges they think might grant relief. They just fired a friend of mine a couple hours ago. They have no shame. The bastards want an assembly line for deportations and nothing more; rubber-stamping bootlickers who’ll yes’sir at every new diktat to deny.
Instead of hiring more immigration judges, the Department of Justice just posted an ad for "deportation judges." join.justice.gov

To the Bulwark motherfuckers like @timmiller.bsky.social and @billkristolbulwark.bsky.social who make excuses for the "business-types" who voted for Trump: Yes, they DID sign up for this. Do you assholes not remember theses signs at the RNC. Business didn’t give a fuck, they were getting tax cuts.

The Trump Admin repeatedly defies court orders & its officials are lying to judges.

My take on the latest examples of judges calling out the Trump Regime for overt noncompliance & defiance of orders, and why after criminal contempt, accountability hearings must happen.

GJ may not lead to dismissal w/ prejudice, but that's no longer the issue. Rather, it's the competence and credibility of the DOJ and Halligan. So this squirrelly document as I read it just pours oil on the fire. It tries to imply the GJ saw ind #2 but doesn't say so and it looks as if they didn't.

the record would have to be informing Court of actual facts -- and in this situation making 1000% sure you had it right. But the document i think -- it's very vague--doesn't do that. Instead, it just argues that the (unpresented) 2nd indictment is operative. The blunder on not re-presenting to a new

So now a notice of correcting

Trump ultimately is very easy to play. Mamdani is popular, therefore Trump wants to be near him because then HE will be popular too.
Is Mamdani a socialist, a communist, a jihadist, yada yada yada?

Trump doesn't care. What he wants to know is, is he a star (and, very important as a follow-up: does he seem to like me and thus confirm that I, too, am a star)?
