Fuck you people. Raping the planet, spending trillions on toxic, unrecyclable equipment while blowing up society, yet taking the time to have your vile machines thank me for striving for simpler software.

Just fuck you. Fuck you all.

I can't remember the last time I was this angry.

Hard to overstate how bad this is.

The people doing anti-hate and anti-disinformation work are now being sanctioned by the United States of America.

This is really, really, really bad.

Oh my god...

With server farms snapping up all the computer hardware, I just realized it'll push towards cloud streaming even faster. If PC hardware costs 5x what it should, then cloud streaming will end up being the more affordable option.

They're forcing it by cornering the market. Bastards!

French publishing house Harlequin decided to use AI translation instead of human translations.

All their freelance translators (some of whom had been working with Harlequin for +30y!!!) were told they would no longer receive work from Harlequin

I shit you not.

With a few notable exceptions, Canada's columnist class is cooked.

That ended up being the main doxxing site for those accused of "celebrating" Charlie Kirk's death.

I was first on the site, which made me think it was made by a far-right Canadian...

Yesterday, there was a horrific antisemitic attack on Jewish folks at Bondi beach.

But the hero, Ahmed al-Ahmed, showed us that even in the face of unimaginable horror, we can choose to care about each other, protect each other and push back on hate.

Unfortunately, not everyone is learning this:

Rob Reiner was a good guy. He made a lot of movies about good guys, in worlds where not everyone was good and you didn’t have to be good. He made movies about people trying. He was angry, as many hopeful people are. He knew the world could be better and he wanted it to be. His death is devastating.

Rob Reiner was one of the key people behind the effort to go to court to overturn California's anti-marriage equality Proposition 8 when it passed in 2008.

Working with Chad Griffin, they founded the American Foundation for Equal Rights and got Ted Olson and David Boies to team up to fight Prop 8.

At SNL I worked with artists who made the funniest, stupidest graphics in no time flat. Some of my biggest jokes would have been impossible without these geniuses building an insane image or finding the perfect real-life photo of a politician. Sucks that their work is being pushed aside for slop.
SNL used AI art tonight, multiple times.

Booooooo.
