After raiding shopping plazas in Cicero and Bedford Park this morning, a caravan of Border Patrol agents swung north toward Edgewater.

Several Chicago police vehicles can be seen here intervening to protect their exit from DSLSD onto city streets and escort the caravan.

So impeach her? What is wrong with you?

You all do all this research just to tell her politely to stop it?
Earlier this week, Kristi Noem told me under oath that she has not deported veterans. I then introduced her to one that she did deport.

But it’s much worse than that:

@moulton.house.gov got DHS to admit that they’ve deported at least 8 vets and are planning to deport dozens more.

The proposed Chicago city budget has a $5 million line item for a ShotSpotter replacement. Abandoning this failed pursuit would free up the funds needed to maintain 2025 funding levels at our city libraries, which would still leave the libraries underfunded but would avoid disastrous proposed cuts.

If you believe that Dem leadership is fighting for you, ask them what they did when the Supreme Court took away the human rights of 50% of the nation, when two thirds of Americans disagreed with the Court’s decision, and we had the presidency. More than 3 years later. Ask how they’ve fought.

The factional grifters will hate this, but the Mamdani-Spanberger-Sherrill axis actually suggests the outlines of a broad, emerging Dem coalition organized around both anti-Trump *and* affordability politics, not a party bitterly divided against itself.
These big wins will embolden Dems to take on Trump's lawbreaking and show there's a price for GOP enabling of him. Folks hate to hear this, but normal patterns are asserting themselves: Liberalism isn't dead, Rs are likely to lose in 2026, and Trump is really unpopular, not a magical exception.

Douthat writes that 2024, when Harris lost by 1.5% of the popular vote, was "an ideological referendum and progressivism lost." I wonder why he didn't view the 2020 election, when Trump lost by 4.5% of the popular vote, as a far more significant loss for conservatism.

Comparing the relation between the presidential election results in 2020 and 2024 with the post-election commentary is a fascinating exercise.

2020
Biden 81,283,501 popular votes, 51.3%
Trump 74,223,975 popular votes 46.8%

2024
Trump 77,302,580 49.8%
Harris 75,017,613. 48.3%
