I spent years thinking "oh, vtune has architecture profiling" as an excuse to justify blowing a half day whenever it bricked a capture because of... reasons.
in a couple of hours, Superluminal has managed to outperform Vtune for uarch by virtue of "sampling a lot" and "not shitting itself".
