Only once a week?? If I could make my Thai eggplant taste like the restaurant one I might never eat anything else ever again ๐ All cultures' cooking from scratch requires ingredients. Pancakes are easy af but even the plain ones use 7-8 ingredients. Her tweet should've stayed in the drafts ๐ฌ

Even comparing the announcement photos, the background for the Mongolian photos is the snowy Mongolian Steppe, with Mongolian horses and camels, etc. Cool! Scenic! Cultural! Some of the Canadian pics look like they were taken in a parking garage. Just feels like a missed opportunity.

Lemme whine about something totally unimportant for a sec: what is this steel green, Canada? What are these silhouettes? Canada has so much cool iconography and clothing history, I wish they'd integrate it. I'm no expert but ๐งต of just a couple:

Now that the Adobe debacle has started to die down, please donโt forget about the animators. There are a lot of crafts, including animation, that have gotten the shit end of the stick during bargaining for decades. My craft is dying. We need more in house animation.

Even if they did, given their track record with PS and AA they'd probably do something horrible with AE too. Plus if they beefed it up they'd probably jack up the price, and since Harmony already does more than Flash+AE combined, at that point people might as well just use Harmony instead.

Maybe this Adobe announcement will prompt them to add some features? It's definitely better than nothing, and it was a lot more new-user-friendly than Flash imo, but I live for my Node View. This. Harmony does more stuff, but it costs more than twice as much as Animate. I love Harmony but she's expennnnnsive. I worry about what smaller/indie studios are going to do. CSP??

Not surprised since TB recently did away with permanent licenses too ๐ซ this is also extra shitty b/c I remember when PS did the oops-got-your-proprietary-materials-for-AI bs, it seemed like a big reason studios still didn't want to drop PS was b/c their whole pipeline was Adobe, but now this??
