271,000 people have lost their jobs and federal spending has ctually increased. So people get less services, while we added debt paying for private jets for Kristi Noem, bulletproof cars for Kash Patel. This is what the rust belt voters demanded.

This point can’t be hammered enough
As Trump increasingly enables plutocrats, his kids, and other allies to take more than they give, this formulation seems like the inversion of reality, except insofar as Trump, his children, and Elon Musk are themselves immigrants or the children of immigrants.

A vice chancellor upheld the firing of Melissa McCoul, seen in a viral video being confronted by a student on her gender identity teachings, saying the termination was done with “good cause.”

And where is Congress? Oversight is literally their job, as well as pushing back against the executive. Not only are they letting Trump rule like a dictator, but for years now, they’ve allowed media consolidation to run rampant and failed to adapt our laws for the new information environment.

CBS pulled the 60 Minutes segment on CECOT because it made immigrants deported to a brutal concentration camp look like human beings, and it made the Trump administration look like the monsters that they are.

But, there's also a corruption scandal here. Trump’s “Putinization” of America continues.

It remains wild to me that during the first trump administration there was a long debate over terminology after AOC (correctly) called border internment "concentration camps" and now having concentration camps is a core domestic policy.

The purpose of that stupid debate was to normalize the idea.

In February, DOGE - under Elon Musk’s direction - gutted the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, notably including their autonomous vehicle safety unit, which was investigating Tesla.
For years, people have lodged complaints about Tesla’s doors. With no official statistics, Bloomberg did its own analysis on the number of fatal crashes in the US in which door functionality played a role. Read more: bloom.bg/49tm0fF

Reminder that Bari Weiss held the 60 Minutes piece on migrant gulags with the suggestion that Stephen Miller (whose number she has) should comment. Maybe if 60 Minutes could just post this video alongside the story, it would meet Weiss's vaunted editorial standards.
White House Senior Advisor Stephen Miller has spent years weaponizing hatred to become the mastermind of Trump’s crackdown on marginalized groups.

Zeteo traces his most hateful, strange, and downright cringey moments along the way.

These declines are MASSIVE.

And the comparative silence in media coverage is absolutely DAMNING.

“Why are ppl always so afraid of crime?”

THIS is why. When crime goes up, media trips over itself to report it.

Falls to pre-war (!!) levels? Just CRICKETS.
I count 10 cities in 2025 that are on track to have the fewest murders since at least 1970. Newark is on pace to have the fewest murders since 1956 (though only have data through Oct this year) and San Francisco is on pace to have the fewest murders since 1942.

For years now, moderates have decried the division of identity politics of Democrats, ignoring of course that the Republican Party was defined by identity politics itself — the identity of whiteness. Now that it’s explicit the inability to call it out and to cover it aptly is starkly disappointing.

Attacks on feminism are similar to attacks on vaccines. We begin to take for granted a world where women have rights and most children live to see adulthood, and then, over time, we begin to forget, neglect, and (now) reject the movements and innovations that brought us here.
Until the mid-1970’s, a man could not be convicted of rape in New York State based solely on the testimony of the woman he raped. A second witness was required because the female rape victim was deemed unreliable.

Feminism has not failed women.
