CBS parent company Paramount canceled Colbert to win approval from Trump's FCC to merge with Skydance.

Now ABC parent company Disney suspends Kimmel as it seeks DOJ approval to buy Fubo — and its affiliate Nexstar seeks FCC approval to buy Tegna.

See how this works?

Who among us doesn’t dream of working in a factory until you die without health insurance or Social Security? But not just you, your kids too! This is truly the American dream*.

*According to Republicans
Lutnick: "It's time to train people not to do the jobs of the past, but to do the great jobs of the future. This is the new model where you work in these kinds of plants for the rest of your life and your kids work here and your grandkids work here. We let the auto plants go overseas."

Amazon had an opportunity to show people everywhere what the impact of the president’s destructive trade policies actually looked like.

Instead, they seem to have fallen in line. Even as Trump costs them.

Dreams? Hopes for the future? Individual aspirations?

Nah. In the new America Lutnick and the Trump administration envision, we work for the rich until the day we die and then pass our jobs on to our kids as their inheritance.

This is a direct assault on the First Amendment, free speech, and freedom of the press.

He also loves them because he can do them unilaterally. It gives him a feeling of power to be able to cause destruction and chaos with the stroke of a pen.
Trump loves tariffs because he feels like it’s a way to shake people down. Even better, shake FOREIGNERS down.

He thinks protectionism is more akin to a protection racket.

He clearly gets an almost sexual thrill from announcing them, and the more, and the higher, the better.

The purpose of these tariffs is to be able to lift them to those who bow down to him and sacrifice their dignity. That is what he did to the GOP, the billionaires, and is doing now to Big Law. Those who stand up will be punished, those who bend a knee and humiliate themselves will be rewarded.
