Apple does nothing for the location in Cork that it is in. It has a sushi restaurant but the local area is one of the most disadvantaged in Cork.
I grew up very close to it & I have never owned any Apple tech - their disregard for Knocknaheeney & Hollyhill is obvs & these threats just more evidence

A reason why the Commission’s blood was up in this case was that there was some unfortunate correspondence between Apple and the Irish tax authority in which Apple (while seeking a tax ruling) “reminded” the authority about the number of employees it had in Cork and that it had location options.

The nicest thing about this place is how ppl learned from their time on twitter (some of us anyway). Blocking & quote dunks aren’t wanted or needed here. Cut all the bad actors off at their feet and don’t ever let anyone tell you’re wrong for doing it b/c it’s usually antagonistic chuds that hate it

It’s funny. I used to say to friends that I knew Sinn Fein would disappoint me eventually but I at least wanted to give them the opportunity to do so in power. Turns out they could completely turn me against them without ever being elected!
Looking forward to telling the Sinn Fein canvasers where they can shove their votes when they come around in the next few months.
