The BC Conservative Party just announced they have removed John Rustad as their party leader.

Comes hours after Rustad said he was staying on despite 20 MLAs calling for his removal, arguing there was no mechanism for the party to turf him as leader after winning his leadership review.

Things are swell until Merriam’s French, know-it-all, boyfriend, Roget, shows up to win her back and ask that they get engaged (or, if you prefer, betrothed, affianced, or perhaps, intended).

She is beholden to a base with fixations that diverge wildly from the daily reality of her citizens.

With progressives finally fired up, the disconnect spells trouble ahead.

This book has been so soothing. I have probably learned more about the foreign policies that shape the world just in the first three chapters than I have in at least the last 15 years of news media. 🙃 It's helped clarify a lot of the absolutely batshit nonsense of the current timeline. COMFORT READ

🇨🇦 SOME CANADIANS ARE RICHER THAN EVER—MANY OTHERS ARE MISERABLE 🇨🇦

On paper, Stocks are up, and household wealth is 50% higher than pre-pandemic levels.

But the "vibecession" is real. Canadians are awash in economic negativity. The reason is simple: sticker shock.

No bailouts. The US should extort these companies when the crash happens so they get minimal compensation in return for nationalizing the entire panopticon industry and then destroying it once harvested for socially useful parts. It won’t happen but it should
when its definitely not a hostage situation

Really looks like the United States is about to launch a regime change war against Venezuela with:

-No casus belli
-No authorization from Congress
-No allies or international support
-No plan for a post-Maduro Venezuela
-No preparation for any sort of stabilization or containment of the fallout

If you’re a journalist who’s still on Twitter, from now on in your writing you have to replace “the American people want” with “troll bots in Eastern Europe demand”

Being there makes your judgment suspect. I don’t care how savvy you think you are, you’re marinating in a disinformation campaign.

Twitter now displays where accounts are from and it has confirmed that too many of the political accounts are out of country bots.

Why are folks still there? To argue with bots? A waste of precious time while enriching the richest man on Earth.
