I'm a thinker, not a fame seeker. I'm a progressive, or what is more, a radical Humanist. I don't pay attention to titles, I pay attention to intellectual substance. And though I love theory, I recognize its abstract limits. Knowledge, as privilege, means social responsibility.
It’s tragic that a great deal of the literature that’s celebrated as “life changing,” is often just rhetoric for conformity. Society doesn’t need mindless conformists, it needs thinkers committed to intellectual virtue, thinkers that have the skill and courage to challenge the status quo.

So, this is the lady who has been calling different churches as a social experiment. This time she pulled into a church parking lot to supposedly rest and they church secretary and receptionist were going to call the cops and have her charged with trespassing. We have an Islamic mosque in Orlando

BREAKING: The First Circuit denies DOJ’s stay request in the SNAP case, refusing to stay the Nov. 6 enforcement order.

Justice Jackson’s 48-hour clock started just before midnight Sunday, meaning the administrative stay she issued Friday ends at the end of the day Tuesday.

It still has to go through the House of Representatives. EVERY single one of them is up for reelection next year. They all should be hearing from you tomorrow morning! ☎️☎️
Hold the line and vote NO!

Sanders: That is a totally meaningless gesture. You can get 100 votes here and it won't mean anything because the House is not going to take it up.

(Happening now) Schumer is standing up for Americans, he says he will vote no. He hammered Republicans. It was a solid speech, he said Democrats “will not give up this fight.”

Sander’s (now) says, paraphrased: “if this vote succeeds 20 million Americans will see their healthcare premiums triple, and we are on the way to throw 15 million people off the healthcare they have.”

Sander’s says the ACA vote in the Senate “won’t mean anything.”

I’m a thinker. I need more details to put the pieces together and make a rational evaluation about this Senate deal situation to end the shutdown. Everything appears to hinge on a promised ACA vote in December. If this is hollow, & they know it, then Democrats likely used it as a rationalization to…

Narcissists and authoritarians are easy to manipulate. One shouldn’t meet them head on. If one needs something from them (a government resolution) there are easy ways to do this. Their ego is their weakness. Putin knows this about Trump, and so do many other world leaders.

BREAKING: Violent drug cartels are invading America pointing guns at citizens, repeatedly defying law.

(Wait, sorry, this is just a picture of an ice agent).

Point of order: The President has no authority to make laws, nor to act contrary to the Constitution. These principles affirm that the President is bound by the Constitution and serves under its authority; he is not above the law, but subject to it as a servant of the people.

Got to love the Trumpian Gambit. The President says he can cut any program he wants, even those mandated by law and paid by Congress, as Executive. Yet, when the court stops him saying he must follow the law, he counters that they cannot enforce laws since they are not the legislative branch.

Didn’t men essentially ruin the whole f*cking world— and aren’t they still ruining it? (I suppose we would need to throw Margaret Thatcher in the mix). How much destruction are men truly responsible for?
As long as NYT is asking “Did women ruin the workplace” can they also ask:
•Did men ruin safe workplaces?
•Did men ruin domestic safety?
•Did men ruin public safety?
•Did men ruin global peace?
Or is a clear “YES” to all these questions just too difficult for fragile men to accept—so NYT avoids it?🤔

Americans vote in representatives in a democratic process, who then pass legislation funding civic programs. If a president can cast aside Congress’s decisions at will, then the founders’ vision of checks and balances gives way to exactly what they fought against: a king by another name.
Americans shouldn’t have to pray that the social safety net programs they rely on will disappear whenever the President decides he doesn’t want to be a team player.

Interesting alternative to eating all the power and water here to power AI. How we use AI is another entire issue that needs WAY more discussion as I have serious concerns we need better regulations to protect we the people. But this at least solves some of the power and cooling issues.
