A Democratic Mayor arrested.

A Democratic Congresswoman indicted.

A Democratic Senator tackled and detained.

A Democratic State Representative killed.

A Democratic State Representative in critical condition.

We can all see where this is going.

I volunteered with a hotline for queer youth in crisis until I had to back out for health reasons. It was fulfilling work that gave me so much I still use to this day. To take away this vital lifesaving resource from an at-risk community is an act of cruelty and hatred. May he rot.
The federal government plans to eliminate services for LGBTQ youth who call 988, the national suicide and crisis hotline, according to a Health and Human Services budget draft leaked last week.
HHS plans to cut the national suicide hotline’s program for LGBTQ youth
In February, the program received an average of 2,100 contacts per day.

Why do we insist on looking at disease in terms of survival rate only?

There’s almost never any mention of disability, despite the fact that many diseases can (and do) leave people with lifelong chronic illness.

Covid has disabled far more people than it’s killed, and measles may do the same.

Classic abuser move: create a crisis and then position yourself as its solution. After the abuser “solves” the crisis, he will expect gratitude and adoration.

Being chronically ill is not lazy.

Resting when your body needs it is not lazy.

Saying “no” is not lazy.

Taking care of yourself is not lazy.

Ableism teaches us to guilt ourselves for respecting our body & its limits. Change the narrative.

Taking care of yourself is powerful.

Disabled people deserve nice things.

They deserve things that make life more comfortable & liveable.

They deserve to be able to afford hobbies & holidays where/when/if they're able.

They deserve the support they need, both in employment if they can do it, and in everyday life.

Again, if you've got a Republican representing you in Congress -- and I don't care who it is -- call them to complain about the tariffs. They're panicking.
Heard Ron Johnson - extremely Trumpy senator - on NPR this morning and even he couldn't defend the tariffs. The most generous thing he could bring himself to say was "I have concerns" and "we'll see what happens." You can bet that privately Republicans are freaking out.

Please stop saying "During COVID." People are still dying from this virus. People are still becoming disabled from it and contracting Long COVID. People are still not able to access the world and healthcare safely because of this virus. During COVID is right now.

It is done in service to Putin and the oligarchs.

The Trump regime is working to deter dissent.

Anyone who goes against Trump could end up on a target list.

This is having a chilling effect on five major pillars of society — universities, science, the media, the law, and the arts.

It's straight out of the fascist playbook.

The Trump regime will round you up off the street and arrest you because you spoke your mind.

And federal agents in plain clothes and unmarked cars who refuse to identify themselves will be the ones to do it.

It's fascism.

Call it what it is.

Almost every measles outbreak in the US & Canada involves an exposure in a healthcare setting.

This is why we need mandatory masks in healthcare. It helps protect the babies who are too young to be vaccinated, those with immune issues who’s systems don’t respond to the vaccine AND the unvaccinated
