MAMDANI: And I just think that there are barriers, barricades, to helping Americans that we can break down
TRUMP: Uh huh
MAMDANI: And breaking down barriers? Reminds me of a certain Broadway show *smiling widely* where they worked together to break a barricade?
TRUMP: *sitting bolt upright* Phantom

my main issue with so many people In The News is why so many of them just wanted to be Famous. the how never really comes into it. writing should be one of those things you do because you have a mental illness only
Someone found an mp3 of the creepy "Jailbait" song Olivia Nuzzi released when she was 16 🫣

It's amazing how nonchalant police are about beating the shit out of people on camera.
As he was being arrested, Rev. Woolf asked police to loosen the restraints on his hands, as one of his hands was going numb.

According to Woolf, an officer replied to the pastor: “Nobody wants to talk to you — shut the f–k up.” religionnews.com/2025/11/15/a...
At least seven faith leaders arrested at Broadview ICE facility protest
(RNS) — 'I've got bruises all over my body,' the Rev. Michael Woolf, who was thrown to the ground and arrested by police, told RNS.

made a similar point on the opinions podcast this week in response to the idea that epstein is a dead end. not only are actual voters interested in this but it divides the gop and puts pressure on the president. it would be political malpractice to treat it as a sideshow
The usual suspects are telling Dems that Epstein won’t win elections, get back to “affordability” and I think my head might explode. www.offmessage.net/p/force-a-re...
Force A Referendum On The Epstein Coverup
It divides Republicans much more than "affordability" or any other economic issue.

sources tell me that Trump can't remember why he got the MRI because he keeps dreaming of Bill Clinton's glistening firehose. sounds crazy but it's true. the president keeps saying things like "slurpin on that hawwwwwwg" during meetings with the Joint Chiefs. lots of wet mouth noises. concerning

This is obviously laughable and full of exactly what you’d expect an AI game to have — gibberish text, nonsensical geometry, etc — but to me the funniest thing is that looking at the UI/setup this is just Dragon’s Lair. This is an FMV game. I could play Mad Dog McCree in the arcade 35 years ago
Oh my god some fucking tech dingdong posted this on Twitter with the caption "AI games are going to be amazing" totally seriously, you have to watch it. You have to. In full screen.

American law, it seems to me, exists to create a condition of constant titillation for people whose material needs are never unmet, but whose appetites have been teased into a state of ungovernable sadism by sloganeering & advertising that promises a return to a world that never existed & never will
Our survival is their failure

This is the correct take and the organizers, including @indivisible.org have reflexively refused to tie the rallies with concrete demands on our elected officials.
Can I ask, what did the No Kings protest actually accomplish? I mean, in real terms, what have these protests materially changed? I can't help but feel these one off protests are merely a heatsink for energy and anger rather than a path for meaningful change and disruption of the system.

People will get mad at this but it's 100% true lol.

If games kept up with inflation, from when I was a kid, a AAA game would be ~120 bucks today lol
AAA video games should cost $100 on launch. this would still be extremely cheap for the amount of time and enjoyment you get out of them! But an audience of whiny babies has kept them literally at the same price for *two decades* despite both general inflation *and* sector-specific costs rising

what if instead of Steely Dan, it was Steely Don, and instead of Donald Fagen it was Donald Trump. I think it'd go a little something like this:

is that anything? idk. thanks 👍

What the fuck?! MassLive is now using generative "AI" to create articles, which would be bad enough in any context but is especially egregious when publishing allegations that someone committed a crime.
