I think this sums up one of the many problems with our country right now very well

Oh neat! A clip of a random white male skinhead podcaster is your attempt to mock me? Is that right?

libslop articles on the supreme court are so funny sometimes

just saw urgent reporting with the breaking news that Justice Thomas said precedent “isn’t gospel”

you read that right. extremely concerning and out of the ordinary for Justice Thomas to say that precedent is sometimes wrong

The number one thing you should be doing right now is catastrophizing and panicking. Stop exercising. Stop reading books. Eat like shit. Fuck up your sleep schedule. Eschew fresh air. Doom scroll all day.

you all owe will an apology, okay?

the article itself is a motivated slant piece and draws unsupported conclusions, as is typical of ken, but these are obviously not the private chats of a “groyper”

As a (relatively) "sensitive young m[a]n," I can tell you why coupling is done online: it is because it is expected to be done online. Not "seen as" — expected to. There are implied social sanctions to approaching any real-life situation (besides, maybe, a bar or church) as a "coupling" opportunity.
I think one of the other problems is that because coupling is seen as an online activity people - *especially* relatively sensitive young men - have become more reluctant to use social occasions to connect. People are using an inferior online product over superior offline opportunities.
These two sentences are actually linked IMO - most attempts at coupling up happen on the apps, and because the apps are really bad, there is less coupling up.

Okay I’m gonna say it: I don’t think the available evidence suggests this guy is a groyper, and if anything, he appears to be more left-leaning.

And frankly the fact this entire site is convinced he’s a groyper is a pretty revealing demonstration of the alternate reality bubble that happens online
Is there any actual evidence that Robinson was a groyper, because he just sounds like a guy who dislikes MAGA in the handful of statements we’ve heard reported

what are the “masses craving” that a party who only has a minority in both houses actually do? be specific and offer deliverables.
the most unpopular president in history turned federal law enforcement into a kidnapping gang that snatches innocents off the street and disappears them to god knows where, and this guy thinks the masses are craving a sober discussion of healthcare subsidies. this account has to be performance art
There it is folks. The brilliant Dem strategy, according to the genius pundits with the ear of Dem leadership, is to let Trump keep doing everything he's doing but only if we can also help Republicans avoid paying a political price for hurting people long enough to hold the House and Senate in 2026

this is less an argument and more a boast
As expected the War Powers report justifies the attack in the Caribbean solely on the basis of the President's authority under Article II of the Constitution as "Commander in Chief and Chief Executive." 2/n

if we made immigration work how people think it works that would be the biggest liberalization of immigration in American history
Thinking on this point and there really is maybe a golden opportunity in the near future to make immigration radically simpler. Clear out the queues, make green cards easier, etc. Public opinion is sort of pro immigration right now and it might only go up
3. However, this leads to centering punishing ICE rather than helping immigrants (through regularization of status, increasing visa quotas, etc.). There are viral posts here about the need to prosecute ICE members after Trump leaves office. There aren't any about giving immigrants green cards.

MAGA, faced with the same question, thought the same thing. The answer, to them, was always obviously “yes.”
if you’re on the left, the question of “should you be on a platform consciously designed to turn people to the right” shouldn’t be some head-scratching dilemma
August 24, 2025 at 7:51 PM
strange to see a mass of unopposed people in the replies and quotes to this posing various types of “when did you stop beating your wife?” and “why will you beat your wife in the future?” style “questions”

seems strange to predicate so much hostility on what a group *might* publish in the future
Here are the pieces we have run so far, ask yourself if this is a left-punching magazine or people are just wishcasting to avoid the possibility that reasonable people can disagree on some questions.
Anyway, it's pretty clear @jerusalem.bsky.social that your publication is meant to deflect criticism from the left. I await the inevitable anti-trans pieces you'll almost certainly run.

what the fuck do you mean dramione fanfiction is being really actually published by real actual publishing houses in the year of our lord 2025
In the Harry Potter books, Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger were bitter enemies.

In the hands of fanfic authors — and two of this summer’s best-selling romantasy novels — they’ve fallen in love a thousand different ways.
Publishing’s affair with fan fiction has a new star couple: Dramione
Two new romantasy bestsellers were inspired by online stories about Draco and Hermione.

the bluesky experience is a wave of people who I saw arguing for the efficacy of “deplatforming” c. 2020 now make arguments (generously) for why it’s good to deplatform *themselves*

everything else considered, including how wrong it is, this sort of gesture at association is just so boring
glad to see this publication is…exactly what everyone thought it would be before a single word was published
