A Metropolitan Council audit spurred by the resignation of Minneapolis Regional Chamber CEO Jonathan Weinhagen found a “high risk” that a chamber subsidiary misused federal grants to promote transit, biking and walking.

Owámniyomni Okhódayapi just announced the Dakota-led design for the restoration of five acres at Owámniyomni (St. Anthony Falls), adjacent to the Upper Lock on the Mississippi River in Minneapolis. Project construction is targeted to begin in spring 2026. Very exciting!

This was the big thing missing early in the season for the Wolves. Big deal if they can do this consistently. Oh, and Jaylen Clark pretty rapidly became my favorite watch on the team.

Minnesota has one of the strongest, most carefully regulated systems in the country to allow the sale of hemp products like THC beverages.

This ban just needlessly screws everything up while hurting our breweries.

Great to see this, especially given the names on here. Hope there is more of this type of thing to come.

A *ton* of autism focused groups are struggling financially this year as the federal government attacks the community. The Somali Parents Autism Network here in Minnesota supports Somali families in providing culturally competent resources on autism for them. They need $25,000 by year end.

Australia has so much solar that it's offering everyone free electricity
Australia's extensive solar power penetration makes so much energy that the government wants to offer free electricity at peak hours.

I would be very surprised if there are enough 2nd place Davis and Hampton votes to get Fateh over the top here. But we'll see. About to find out how well the "rank all three" strategy worked.
Results just came in. It shows Frey with 60,735 votes, Fateh with 46,131 votes, Davis with 19,971 votes, and Hampton with 15,119 votes.

Some interesting early results here – a bunch of small, rural districts in Minnesota are voting to raise their taxes to increase funding for local public schools.

Democrats flipped both these seats tonight. Very interesting for energy policy and politics.
Georgia Power's rising utility rates and $15.7B gas-heavy power plant plan are on the ballot next week. Two Democratic challengers to the state's all-Republican Public Service Commission say that solar power, not fossil gas, is the key to lower costs:

Energy bills are rising nationwide. In Georgia, they’re on the ballot.
Critics claim the state's utility regulator is too passive. Two Democratic challengers say they’ll change that — and push for more cheap, clean energy.

This would be pretty wild. I figured it was a given turnout would be down a bit because of the public safety amendment in 2021.

By the way, pretty clear the high turnout worked in Frey’s favor last time. Curious to see if that holds this time.
I have been confidently telling people for months that turnout in this election will be in between 2017 and 2021, and there's no chance we can beat 2021 and get a new record.

Voters might prove me wrong. (2/2)
