True: @zohranmamdani lives in 1 unit of rent-stabilized housing.

Also true: Andrew Cuomo oversaw the loss of 96,064 units of rent-stabilized housing. And killed NYC’s program helping people move out of shelter.

Leaders must show moral clarity. Andrew, time to move out. 🧵

10 Things I Wish I Knew About Product Management Sooner
Think product management is all strategy and shipping features? Think again. This brutally honest, laugh-out-loud guide dives into the real lessons PMs learn the hard way—like saying 'no' without becoming the office villain, surviving roadmap chaos, and fixing the feature no one asked for but everyone hates. Written by someone who’s been through the fire (and the Slack threads), it’s part therapy, part war journal, and all heart. If you've ever found yourself explaining why nothing shipped this sprint while silently questioning your career choices—this one’s for you. Expect awkward user interviews, polite panic, and very real truths about being the calm in the storm.

In 2012, I met Jasinta in Kenya. Her son is was born HIV-negative because of the support/meds provided by the American Centre for Disease Control. Devastating to think so many now don’t have access to this assistance because of this drug-addled prick

92 years ago today, the Nazis raided the Magnus Hirschfeld Institute for Sexuality, where the first study of trans people was conducted, and burned all of its contents.

Fitting that today is also the day SCOTUS greenlights the project of the eradication of trans people from society in the US.

One of the reasons the manosphere has been so successful is because they are able to sell their version of masculinity as an answer to insecurity. They sell the idea that you become safe by dominating, even oppressing, others. They neg boys and men and then sell them on violence to feel secure.

A reminder that this entire Trans Panic thing is just another shitty step in a long history of fake panics completely invented by political hacks.

Trans people are very likely not affecting your lives at all and they certainly are not the cause of any problems on a national level. It's BULLSHIT.

So much is at stake when Germany goes to the polls tomorrow. My take on Friedrich Merz and a huge mistake he made during the campaign.
While Germany can't be seen as that borderline-boring bastion of stability anymore, the centre might get its act together after all, ironically thanks to JD Vance. 👇
The far right rising
Ahead of a historic German election, the AfD is courting the global right – and threatening to upend European politics.

On Thanksgiving, I discovered a leak coming through the floorboards of my slab foundation house. The plumber couldn’t find a leak and was mystified. He blamed Molly Murderkitten and water bowl mischief Believable. LOOK AT HER.

Insurance denied the claim. Fine. Got fans, rags.

Water kept coming.

Lovely to hear people having a wonderful time watching Wicked at the cinema. It made me think of my favourite ever movie-watching experience

It’s a long, cheerful story, so I’ll have to do it over several posts… And, if you’re wondering if this thread is for you, it involves The Lego Movie 😁

Extending the #weekendchat, let's chat

what's something nice that you did - or are just about to do - that gave you a sense of contentment or satisfaction?

I took advantage of the warm day to take another bike ride up the mountain, felt really good to get out. How about you?
